WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

[ MEASUREMENTS ]

FOUR Simples Steps to Measure Your Room:

Using pencil, sketch out the existing layout (don't worry about scale). Include the locations of all windows, doors, and closets.
Using a tape measure to measure each wall, corner to corner. Write down on the sizes and locations of all openings and built-ins such as doorways, pass-through, built-in bookcases, etc.
Measure each wall in detail: start at one corner of the room, measure the distance from the corner to the outside edge of the window casing, from there to the opposite edge of the window casing, from there to the edge of a built-in cabinet, and so on to the opposite corner. Once finished, the first wall total measurement should match the first overall measurement.
Repeat this process around the entire room and write down all measurements on your drawing.

Don't forget to include the following:

ceiling height for each room
location of all power outlets
height of windows and doors
location of windows on each wall
location of any wall (sconce) or ceiling lights

[ PHOTOS ]

Start taking a handful of digital photos of the room showcasing the room from different angles. Don't forget to include photos of the locations of windows and doors/doorways.

Include in your package a photo of the outside of your home or apartment building since a lot what we do inside is inspired by the exterior architecture.

If there is any furniture, accessorie or artwork that you would us to include in your room, please send us at least one photo of each item.

[ INSPIRATIONAL IMAGES ]

Inspiration can come from everywhere. We encourage our clients to pull "tear sheets" from magazines and tell us why they love or hate such image. We also welcome photos of rooms and things our clients admire, even if they have nothing to do with the room we are designing. Swatches of fabrics, paint chips, everything that inspires you in any way it's welcome here!

In order for us to get to know you better and understand all your needs for the room we require you to complete the e-DESIGN questionnaire and submit to us online.

[ PAYMENT ]

All design fees for e-DESIGN are based on the average scope of design and size of the room. Living rooms, kitchens, and basements for example, require more design work and therefore, they will cost a bit more. Please contact our office for custom elevations and/or renderings.
